Andrea G Artz is a visual artist & photographer. She was born and raised in Germany and has lived in New York for many years. Andrea currently works from her South East London studio in Peckham. Her career in the arts started when she made a zoo of cardboard animals that populated the living room of her beloved grandmother Rosa…..
Andrea’s work has emerged out of photography’s’ expanded field and incorporates installation, sculpture, drawing, photography and 3d collage. The human condition and in particular the human figure is her main interest. Originally trained as a photographer, she is an acute observer of people’s movements, postures, gestures and facial expressions and how they change as history progresses.
